We are are a non profit organisation
managed by a committee This committee consists of approx 70
members which includes farmers & retirees, and village people,
it has a close spirit of friendship ,co-operation and participation
which make it such a success.
The committee was formed at a well attended
local meeting , after a huge Millewa district schools reunion
where 3000 people attended. They all wanted some type of
commemorative central meeting place ,hence The Millewa Community
Pioneer Forest was born and now consists of 12 hectares
of local bushland established in 1986, and houses The Millewa
Pioneer Village .
Best practise of environmental management
, & ongoing committment has created a pleasant bush surrounding
which has allowed us to obtain numerous awards
. We work to a previously prepared Management Plan & Mission
Statement
